There are times in the year I feel like I'm always running around and forgetting everything. It's great to pull inspiration from the world around you at all times, but it can be impossible to remember all those ideas when you get home and finally sit down to work. I'm a huge fan of making lists, have it be on a notepad that's always with you or in a note taking app on your phone, but my house chores and business chores quickly got mixed up and it made my list of tasks seem impossibly long!
The best thing I ever did for my creative side was purchase an inexpensive (and cute!) notebook from my local Michael's Arts and Crafts. Now I keep a book of only design and inventory ideas with me at all times, so it's almost like having an organized life! Haha ...
Pictured above are my original sketches and plans for the "Cheesy" pin! This is a newer pin I designed in May of this year. My original plan was for only the "C" to be pasta, but eventually I decided every letter should be carby deliciousness. More pasta is never a bad thing, right? Pictured near the margins are the super quick sketches for the Marshmallow Star necklace design, which you can see finished and for sale right here. :D
How do you make sure you remember all your important memos? I would be lost without my lists, that's for sure!
Both notebooks were purchased for about $5 each at Michael's.
